Head of Nursing and Health (Maternity Leave Position)

Based at our Geelong Yarra Street Campus we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced industry experts to join the VFA Learning Nursing team as the Head of Nursing and Health (Maternity Leave Position).

The successful incumbent will manage all training and delivery across all areas of Nursing and Health. The Head of Nursing and Health will take responsibility for ensuring the delivery of the program content under compliance with VET Standards and Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) compliance.

You will work with the Nursing department to cultivate progressive learning activities, implement robust assessment strategies and develop innovative simulation-based training opportunities.

You will assist with further developing the HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing Program through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of course delivery and stakeholder feedback to implement appropriate continuous improvement activities to achieve the best possible outcomes for VFA Learning students.

Qualifications & Experience:

Applicants must be motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for sharing their knowledge, skills and experience with the next generation of health workers.

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  • Post Graduate Tertiary qualification relevant to Nursing.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE40116 or TAE40110 with the following units: TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a clinical setting, as RN Div1
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 6 months)
  • Working with Children Check or willing to apply for one
  • Have current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in education and or training in the Nursing Sector
