I completed my Certificate III and IV in Fitness at the MAX International College for Fitness Professional in 2021 where I am very proud to say I achieved the best Final Knowledge Check result in the college’s 31 year history. I am a strong believer in scientifically based Functional (movements that mimic everyday activities) Compound Exercises (movements that use multiple muscle groups) to maximise the time in each training session. I am all about enjoying exercise and partnering with my clients to ensure each training session is productive and beneficial. A comprehensive explanation of the target muscles used in each exercise is customary. I was also part of the Australian Team for the 1997 World Triathlon Championships in Cancun, Mexico

I believe strength training is for everyone, regardless of age or where you're starting from. I work with clients of all ages, from younger adults wanting to lose weight, build strength and improve fitness, through to clients in their 70s and 80s who want to stay strong, mobile and independent. My approach is personal and supportive. I take the time to understand your goals, experience and abilities, then tailor your training to suit you. Whether you're new to the gym or have trained before, my aim is to help you feel comfortable, confident and challenged at the right level. What I enjoy most is seeing clients become stronger, move better, gain confidence and achieve things they didn't think they could. DJR Strength & Fitness Fitness for life, Strength for living.

With many years of ballet training and a Bachelor of Education in Contemporary Dance, my journey naturally led me into the fitness industry—over 30 years ago. Since then, I’ve experienced the industry from a variety of perspectives: as a group fitness instructor, manager, instructor trainer, personal trainer, and even competitive bodybuilder. These days, my passion lies in group fitness, particularly mind-body disciplines. I teach a range of classes including ABT, Barre, Mat & Reformer Pilates, Flow, and Yin Yoga.
