Melinda graduated from the University of Sydney in 1991. She completed her Sports Physiotherapy Masters and was the physiotherapist for Eastwood Rugby club from 1993 - 2013. Melinda has provided physiotherapy coverage for NSW’s Rugby Academy, U19’s and 21’s and provided coverage for Western Force Super 15 Rugby players in Sydney from 2012-2014.

Melinda was also a volunteer physiotherapist for track and field at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Melinda’s interest in aerobics and dancing injuries has come about from her aerobics instructing which she continues to do. She has produced an exercise video titled “Beat Backache” and has had TV appearances on “Sunrise”, " The Today Show" and "Sydney Weekender" discussing back pain and sporting injuries. Melinda was a lecturer at The University of New South Wales, UTS and TAFE for exercise and sports science students.

She is also an accredited physiotherapist for the New South Wales Institute of Sport (NSWIS).
