NASM Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS)

The NASM Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS) course and credential arms health and fitness professionals with the tools, knowledge, skills and abilities to increase strength, power, endurance and flexibility to improve overall golf performance plus the ability to recognize and assess common golf injuries to provide solutions for reducing and/or alleviating these injuries.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain common injuries and physiological demands of golf.
  • Describe the biomechanics of the golf swing.
  • Explain the importance of posture, how it relates to golf performance, and how to assess it.
  • Design an integrated training program for clients at any level of training.
  • Identify common injuries associated with golf.
  • Explain the mechanisms of golf injury.
  • Determine individualized program design strategies for improved golf performance.
  • Explain marketing strategies to increase business
