Introduction to Working with Older Adults

Designed for fitness professionals who provide instruction to older adults either in group exercise classes, personal training, aqua classes, or on the gym floor. It offers a comprehensive guide to the physical, physiological and psychological changes that older adults are experiencing, how that can affect them, and how instructors can change and adapt their interactions, expectations and prescribed exercises, to accommodate and allow for these changes. The course includes interviews with real older adult participants, trivia, and case studies.
