Barry's Bootcamp is looking for a Manager on Duty to motivate our team and provide world-class smoothies and service to our members.

As Manager on Duty, you will be running the studio in the absence of the studio manager. This person will need to motivate the team to provide amazing smoothies to our clients and boost both fuel & retail sales through thorough product knowledge and upselling.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

This Manager on Duty role encompasses managing the studio in the Studio Manager's absence and leading two key pillars of our business in partnership with the leadership team: our "Fuel Bar (smoothie bar) and our Retail. This includes inventory management, quality control, managing invoices, visual merchandising, and team education and enrollment.

In the absence of a Studio Manager, this role is key to maintaining the day-to-day operations of the studio and the strong culture that is uniquely Barry's. They are responsible for supervising the team and ensuring multiple departments run smoothly to provide our clients with a seamless Barry's experience. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver customer service through greeting clients, assessing client needs, providing assistance, and handling client complaints
  • Drive sales- KPIs set around Fuel sales, retail sales, and community initiatives
  • Manage the Studio Client database, registering new clients with accurate registration procedures, receiving membership payments, and maintaining a client base
  • Oversee cash and POS system management
  • Manage retail inventory and product knowledge for all studio retail operations
  • Assist the Studio Management team in daily studio tasks and projects
  • Takes a leadership position in managing and problem solving difficult and challenging studio situations such as client injuries, sound and microphone issues etc.
  • Manage and motivate your team
  • Assist in the coordination of other departments
  • Deliver feedback to elevate the client experience and leadership development
  • Maintain the distinct Barry's aesthetic, appearance, atmosphere and culture

Our ideal candidate

Our ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service and communication skills, thrive in a team-oriented environment and have an infectious passion (even obsession - we get it!) for fitness.

The 'must-have' list:

  • 1+ years experience in a team leader or supervisory role
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (must have prior to employment)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Knowledge of industry legal rules and guidelines
  • Familiarity with Google for Work Suite and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Willingness to undertake personal and professional development
  • Positive outlook and attitude!
