Plus Fitness Fitzroy is a family-owned and run business, opened just over 2 years ago in recently voted "second coolest street in the world", Gertrude St, Fitzroy. Since opening, the gym has grown to one of the top-performing gyms in the entire Plus Fitness Franchise in spite of COVID-19. 

As part of joining Plus Fitness Fitzroy, you will receive hands-on 1-1 training from our owner and leadership team, across all aspects of the business. Develop an owner mindset- manage the entire business and take it to new heights! Whilst we have all the security, systems and processes of a typical Franchise business, we also offer the flexibility of a family-run small business- catering seamlessly to the needs of members and fostering a strong team culture. This role offers a clear career path to progress from single club manager, to portfolio manager (managing several gyms), to gym owner (equity in a Plus Fitness Gym). 

Have clear guidelines and expectations on your performance and proven systems to help you get there! As part of the role, you will undertake sales and marketing training several times weekly with a renowned independent sales training firm. They will help troubleshoot any sales/ marketing issues and provide additional ongoing support. Further support is available by working closely with the team at Plus Fitness Clyde North- one of Australia's largest and fastest-growing Plus Fitness Gyms. 

About the Role:

To be successful as the Club Manager you will be required to:

  • Meet and greet potential and existing members
  • Manage everyday club operations
  • Achieve KPIs, and sales targets and maintain our ranking as the top-rated gym in Clyde
  • Manage and motivate your team
  • Create a great club culture
  • Maintain the club to group compliance standards 
  • Promote the Plus Fitness brand and image within the local community

Skills & Requirements:

To excel in the role of Club Manager you will require:

  • Experience in Sales/ Sales Management or Customer Service Management is essential.
  • Previous experience in the sales and retention of health club memberships is not essential but will assist candidates. 
  • Previous experience in managing or working in a franchise structure will also be looked upon favourably.
  • Successful candidates will have strong people and management skills, love health and fitness, have a desire to learn and grow, and possess keen organisational skills/ ability to work under pressure.  
  • They will be a "jack-of-all-trades" and ready to join a supportive and close-knit family team. 
  • A passion for promoting health and fitness in our communities is essential as well as an ability to operate a business within its pre-existing systems and structure.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite is important, including but not limited to; Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
